Kim Rosen is the designer behind FAYCE textiles. Having spent the last decade creating illustrations for clients all over the world, Kim has adapted her delicate line work, passion for pattern and love of interior décor to suit the home market. This fabric textile collection is hand screen printed in New England using water-based, non-toxic ink on 100% Unbleached Linen.
The hand drawn patterns in this debut fabric collection evoke something familiar and recognizable while also maintaining an abstract nature. Each of these 6 patterns are inspired by Kim’s New England surroundings, old factory facades, markings found on weathered wood and rocks along the coast, old building methods and materials such as plaster & lath and shapes found in the vast farmlands. The subtle nuances and rich textures in each pattern place as much importance on the negative space as the positive, creating depth, movement and a timeless aesthetic.
Kim’s line of embroidered home goods are hand drawn, digitized and embroidered onto 100% linen which are then made into decorative pillows and wall hangings. These abstract patterns are small sections of larger drawings that are inspired by architectural details, formations found in nature, vintage textiles and a variety of family heirlooms cherished throughout the years.
