Natania Hume is the creative force behind Slow Studio. She has worked primarily in clay for almost 20 years. She spent her formative years amidst rural academia in Western Massachusetts and discovered clay at the Massachusetts College of Art. She holds BFA degree in ceramics and a Master’s degree Art Education.She is also the Visual and Performing Arts Department Head at The Williston Northampton School where she has taught art, and ceramics, for over a decade. Previously she taught art and ceramics at the Channing School, in Highgate, London (UK). There she was exposed to the contemporary ceramics movement in and around London and Wales from which she continues to derive inspiration.
